Friends.

Recently I have been thinking about friendship and the true value of it all. I mean who do you consider your friends and what is the true meaning and value of their friendship? Often times in life we take things for granted: Perhaps it's a small favor a stranger does for you, or how about a huge favor someone does for you? And what makes a good friend? Recently I have been asking myself all of these questions.
I have thought long and hard about all of these and his is what I have come up with.  Friends: I think anyone can be your friend. A neighbor, a classmate/peer, a co-worker honestly anyone! But it's not who your friends are that matters it's what you do for each of them and what they do for you. Someone who is kind to you and makes you feel good, someone you can trust and share secrets with, someone who you can make memories and laugh with, and things like that. But how about a best friend? Take a moment and think about who comes to mind first when you think of your best friend/friends. When you think of your best friend/friends you want to think of someone that you could tell anything too and know that they would never judge you or tell anyone. You want to think of a person who no matter what your doing, your making the most of the situation and having a great time. Someone who makes you feel good and happy like you could do anything and they would support you no matter what and stand right by your side. Someone who if you are telling a funny story about something stupid you did, to know that at least you did it together. Someone who you can go cry too and have them tell you that everything is going to be okay even when you both know it might not be. You want someone who will be honest with you all the time, even if it's going to hurt sometimes.
I truly believe that in order to have good friends you have to be a good friend. Because honestly, You are your friends. You have the same personality traits as them, You like to do the same activities as them and things like that. So if you have a friend that is constantly treating you bad or you never have fun with and you know you can't trust. Is that fair? Is that fair to be treated like that? NO! Everyone deserves to have friends that are amazing! So I want anyone who took the time to read this to think about a few things. Are you a person you are proud of? Do you possess the qualities that you would want from a friend? And do the friends you have possess the qualities that you are looking for in a friend? I know that nobody is perfect, not even close but there is room for improvement in everything we do, and how we choose to act.
